I'm still here and I still play periodically.
I wonder whether or not Soulblighter being around in the first 60 years of the Age of light (post Balor's fall) would be an indication that the cycle had been broken?
SB got pretty far, which seems inconsistent with the cycle enforcing an age of light. On the other hand though, an age of light doesn't necessarily mean an age of peace, and SB could have been replaced by any nasty rogue sorcerer. It's also worth noting that Alric hardly slew Balor in the traditional hero vs villain way.
Either way, I guess we don't find out until 460 years after SB when the comet comes back, and Alric either turns out evil, or someone else comes back and is evil instead.
