: You think that after Myth II will come a dark age?
Well, personally I think the cycle is most likely broken, whether by Alric's doing or by Soulblighter's (I'd say Soulblighters, since this is supposed to be a Light age according to my new theory, and he fscked that up).
It's *supposed* to be a Light age now, for the next 500 years or so, and then it will slowly start to turn darker and darker until there's another Great War in 1000 years. The questions before us are (1) will we really have any lightness now, with the undead and Myrkridia on the loose? And (2) will the Leveller return in 1000 years?
I'm going to say "no" to both, on the shaky grounds that the Four Ages are over, which precedes the end of the world according to the Voluspa. (Though it would have been a cooler way to end it if Alric had died at the Great Devoid). Also, Soulblighter seriously messed up how things were supposed to be right now. I think the cycle is broken, but that doesn't mean eternal Light - it just means the Leveller is gone. There are still many challenges facing the Light.
Call it a "grey age" if you will. No more destiny. Just whatever you can make out of life.
: Hmm..what about the dwarves? I mean, are their cities
: OK, or are they some ruins aswell.
Ruined AFAIK.
: And the Trow? Will they think of just wiping humanity out
: in the future? It seemes logical.
: "Look at how much trouble their heroes gave
: us..they´re weak now. Lets just kill them."
: Again repeating the cyckle of trows wiping out new races.
The Trow don't seem interested. Otherwise they'd have attacked in the previous 60 years since the end of TFL.
: Hmm..but will Alric become the leveler? Is that what`s
: most likely to happen.
If the Leveller returns, it'll probably be as Alric. But I don't think he will be returning.
: Also..lets get the power order straight.
Levellers and Heroes don't count. They're above the fray.
Mazzarin is #1. But being #1 doesn't mean you always win, if number 2 or 3 has a bunch of undead buddies helping him out.
Watcher and Deceiver are #2 and #3, but who knows which is which. (I say the big D came out on top in the end, only by virtue of having outlived the Watcher. Then again, the Watcher did live to be older than the Deceiver, so maybe he wins by that count. What's it matter now though, they're both dead).
