I recently made the Story Page forum profile-only for posting... it required upgrading WebBBS, but I'd be willing to do the same here.
It means anyone who wants to post MUST have a profile. (Creating one is as easy as filling in the password field on the submission form.)
There hasn't been a single spam message there in the past week.
Wouldn't happen right away (I'm leaving day after tomorrow for a week), but think about it.
