: When you see a pack of wolves running around, do you ask
: where their females are or how these things manage to
: breed without them? Cause the females are right there
: hunting alongside the males. Humans are strange
: amongst animals in that we have traditionally left our
: females behind in the home and only sent the males
: out. Most creatures' young have to be up and ready to
: run with the pack/herd quickly, and the females are
: right there moving along with them. There is no
: "home" to sit around at.
But none of them have nipples, how do they nurse their pups? GURPS does seem to imply that they reproduce like animals in that it says that myrk giants grow from reg sized myrks however. As for warlocks, I dont think we can just dismiss their death sequence as "who knows, its magic:" when the Deciever dies when you're controlling him, for instance, he just crumples up and dies (as is also the case with alric). Considering Shiver's death, as well as Balor exploding his head when he gets thrown into the devoid, it does seem to make sense that it is either possible to cast "spells" activated by certain contingencies or that they can make their will persist in a disembodied state or a fragment of their body. Warlocks might, in their pursuit of knowledge, have discovered something that makes them unwelcome within the dream like fetch, forcing them to mask themselves in some way. Otherwise it seems to me that they would have to be made of some magical substance similar to that green styg "blood."
