No, they're most definately Ents.

First we have the tages, these could just be some strange abbreviation perhaps, something like trEes iN foresT :)

However, if you look at the excerpts from GURPS:Myth in the table of contents it says "Forest Giant (Ent)....."

So i think it's safe to assume that Forest Giants (or a Giant Forrest?) is the same as an Ent
