: A thought that just hit that causes a minor problem we
: may need to deal with. As things stand, we have the
: Myrkridia as basically organized man eating wolves,
: with more intelligence and much deadlier. So where do
: the stories refered to in that quote come from? Simply
: eating humans on a regular basis is hardly anything to
: spark viewing them as demons out to wipe out mankind
: from the face of the world (Myth has things that do
: have such plans to tell stories about for those who
: would do so). The kind of 'krids we're thinking of
: seem to look at humans more as...well, deer. Game to
: be hunted. Not something to be exterminated.
Myrks could feed off of fear: they dont eat people if noone is watching, for instance, and you could argue that they are not exactly concious but instinctually carrying-out their need to terrorize; learning by process of trial and error the most gruesome and painful ways to mangle, disembowel etc in order to maximize the emotions on which they are chemically dependant (maybe more experienced myrks even delight in raping peasent women, orgiastically basking in their absolute horror untill they literally die of fear which could lead one to beleive that moagim was an enourmous halfmyrkgiant halfhuman who lead the myrkpacks because he was smarter than any of them and big enough to smack them into submission). This might make sense because myrks are repetitavely linked to "nightmares" and thus have to keep wyrd's dream nightmarish in the eyes of those behold it (where it exsits in its entirety being an illusion in accordance with the Wyrd-Visnu connection) in order to stay in existance.
