: Right, and this is why I put so much emphasis on the
: scene that the Bruig come across as they come into
: Gower. The absolute fearlessness of those people,
: setting fires around their own villages, sacrificing
: one man to save ten women and children, Connacht
: standing at point, toe to toe against the Myrkridia!
: Just having the gall to stand against them is a big
: step against the Myrkridia. The Krids under Moagim
: terrified humanity into believing that we had no hope
: of fighting the, but now after a thousand years they
: are complacent and soft, as much as a ravenous
: wolf-man can be... and so if any of their prey dared
: to stand against them, they could be caught off guard.
I like that. It makes the Myrkridia more potently terrifying than terrifyingly potent, if that makes sense. Not that they aren't a tougher opponent than say, a Thrall would be, but they're within the ability of skilled, brave, and determined humans to defeat.
And on that
: note... what exactly does "being the
: Leveller" get you? Phenomenal cosmic powers, or
: just a reputation for being a badass?
I'm inclined to think the second. All of the Leveller's vessels that I know of, seem to indicate that being chosen by the "transient divinity" is a sign -of- being Uber Powerful, it does not -make- one that.
That's not to say that it does nothing, but it doesn't need to give you cosmic power.
Usually, you already have that ability.
