: Agreed, although I don't like the notion of Connacht
: having been found cowering and scared. I think he

: Herons...

No, it doesn't quite fit.

: And then they notice, he's not fending them off on his
: own. There are archers in the trees and on top of the
: buildings, shooting fire arrows to barricade the
: Myrkridia. Other men stand guard at the doors of the
: huts, giving their lives to hold off the Myrkridia
: long enough for Connacht to finish them. This whole
: village is organized around helping this one man
: desperately defend them from the devils. This is what
: the rumors were about. Imagine what he could do with
: an army at his aid...

Just one minor negative comment, as I'm not sure it fits. Somehow, at least in Gower, fire arrows don't sound fitting. Too..."sophisticated". But I'm willing to listen to and possibly agree with the reasoning, I just don't see what it is.

P.S. Just to get it out of my system, do we consider Balor in full plate to be part of "this is Balor/the Leveller" or is it somehow part of when Connacht became a(the?) general? Not a big issue, and only loosely relevant, but full plate armor in Myth would probably be something beyond merely out of the ordinary to put it lightly.
