"Many" avatara? Somehow, the idea of more than a few of them seems...peculiar. There may not necessarily only be a half dozen or so, but the idea of more than say...a dozen, at a given time, is a bit much to me. But given how powerful they are, even four or five would be quite a lot. Particularly if you ever used more than one or two in the entire (assuming a full 24/25 missions) game.
And no, he doesn't have to appear, but I don't see why not. Unless we have him (and for the most part, other heroes) not appear to empathize the hopeless odds against you...after all, at least the Fallen can be stopped, the Myrkridia...well, let me put it this way. "...the legends speak of whole armies being devoured, and entire cities being erased from the world." if I'm remembering right.

He does apparently have connections with them, although I'm not sure how far I'd go.
Another question...would this be a Myth 2 (that is, use the game as a basis) thing or a Myth 3 one? Speaking for myself if no one else, Myth 3 has graphics that leave something to be desired. My opinion, nothing more.
