: see how Bungie based some of the story line of Myth
: off the Bible. In Myth there is a holy book, The Total
: Codex, which is a book filled with propchices of their
: world and times. There were also ages that lasted 1000
: years in myth, as in Bible history and propchey. The
: Total Codex served as the Bible of the Myth world. It
: had procphices of future events like the mykrida
: returning in Myth 2. The Bible is only held at such
: regard because of propchices fulfilled by Jesus. As
: also in Myth the Bible has great Evils like
: Anti-Christs and Great Savuiors like Jesus. The Total
: Codex is the holy book in a world which also has great
: evils and great savuoirs over 1,000 year periods. Like
: Prophets in the Bible there are the Nine. It is clear
: to see how these books hold much simiularty. The Myth
: world seemed to be the Total Codex playing out and it
: is the same for the Bible and our world, if you
: believe in the Bible that is. I do wonder if Bungie
: did this on purpose or not?
Bungie used allot of things, most noteably The Black Company Books, Irish legend, bits and pieces of Hindu legend (apparently) etc.
The Total Codex listed the names of everyone that would be born and what they would do in their lives, not prophecies and heresies.
