In Response To: Myth addiction...its a beautiful thing (Seraph)

I think I am a bit younger than you guys here by a few years, as opposed to playing myth in the last forays of my highschool days, I was playing myth in the last forays of gradeschool and the first year of highschool. This is the last game that really brought me in like this, or comic book or movie or other geeky thing that people tend to obssess over.

However I had obssessed over things prior, I was a huge x-men nerd, I played Diablo 1 non stop, and Asherons Call for a while. There was a time when I could quote all the backstory from starcraft, but Myth was my last final hurrah into gaming (Afterward I played diablo II, world of warcraft etc but never got TOO into them) Myth was the last game that I had 'friends' on the internet who I didnt actually know where I would log on and people would be all like "Omg its the Pepper! Joy! Lets go play fetchball!"

I'm not saying that it was the best years of my life, though online it certainly was. After I finally got out of my room I got up and got a life and friends and a girl (Don't worry I'm still a geek... Tuesday is Dungeons and Dragons night...) And now whenever I try to get into a game it just bores me, I feel like I dont have the time, and I just can't get INTO games now, even ones I KNOW are good (I thought metroid prime was fantastic. I picked it up for 2 months and stopped playing it half way through... There was no reason for this, but it took me another year before i picked it up and beat it)

Myth was the last of the heady days of my videogame glory.

It was also the last game that I was ever actually GOOD at, I log onto any multi player game now and BAM instantly killed by some 12 year old. I Used to BE that 12 year old! Oh cruel irony!

-Pepper, wondering why he should curtail his speach if we dont have anything to talk about anyway.
