personally i always felt that if alric had been an incarnation of wyrd, he migh have been granted knowledge and maybe been better able to deal with the threat before it go so desperate that he killed the entire legion for a chance at winning. but of course, he may have been an incarnation granted power but not any special knowledge and the trouble with that is then what separates him from the other avatars aside from having the luck to survive.
has anyone connected the dream of the god idea in myth to raymond feist? in some of the more essoteric parts of his books he talks about such theories that the world was just a dream that could teach the god how to understand existance.
