Balor brought the Fetch into the world for their powers, stranded with only one being to their knowledge able to send them back they were forced to do his bidding, oh plus they were evil. Then when Balor died they found themselves trapped still so turned to Soulblighter.

Well the Myrmidons are undead in TFL but they weren't resurrected, they couldn't die by age or damage and so only become inert when pwned, with Balor being the source of their immortallity they rest popped the cork when Balor's head was destroyed.
Myrmidons = Alive.
Ghols are nasty, alone they can't really take on the dwarves and all their allies, but with the help of the Leveller or some big evil they can. Plus since the Dark Gods names are forgotten maybe The Leveller is one of those Dark Gods made flesh, to rid the world of the children of Wyrd.
