Mumbo Jumbo got all the Myth story documentation that Bungie had, which amounted to basically just the fabled pizza box lid. Myth didn't have an official Story Bible like Halo does. (Although Scott Campbell wrote one for Myth 3). That's a newfangled invention of modern game developers. The real Myth story was all in Bungie's heads.
I'm starting to think they should have just left it after TFL.... or returned a thousand years later, at least.
