: Just a few brief comments, I don't have time to respond
: to all of this: You're good to not include Mjarin as a
: Leveller, because he wasn't. Myth 3 is not canon.
: The Trow never fought for the Leveller willingly. In
: fact, it's explicitly stated that they fought
: *against* the Myrkridia (except in Myth 3, which is
: again, not canon), and that they served Balor because
: they owed him their lives, *despite* his being the
: Leveller (i.e. otherwise they'd have told him to go
: fsck himself).
: The Ghols were originally conceived of as undead. In fact
: the Trow were supposed to be undead too. The original
: version of the story, from which the spinning-coin
: theory comes, was straight up undead-versus-living,
: switching every 500 years. That's clearly not so
: anymore; the Leveller just causes "darkness"
: by whatever means, be it predominantly undead as Balor
: used, or predominantly living as Moagim used (the
: Myrkridia). I imagine Moagim used some assorted undead
: as well (probably had the Watcher on his side), just
: as Balor used some assorted living (like the Ghols).
: My old Principia Mythica theory (which I still want to
: make a scenario out of, damnit! At least one map!
: Maybe I should just write a story about it) has the
: Ghols as Dark/Old/Spider-God worshippers, but still
: technically a younger race.
: Um... I think that's about it. Yeah. Dammit now you got
: me thinking about my theory...
Yeah I tried to avoid Mjarin because his whole leveller thing screws up my theories...
but the quote:
"... why had [Acerus Malum Magnus] not spoken of the Myrkridia? According to what I remembered of Forgall's text the Myrkridia were active during the Golden Age of the Trow and both had come into conflict with Connacht."
Seems to imply that the Trow had in fact worked with the Myrkridia with Moagim when fighting Connacht, or else they would not have been silent on the matter... Perhaps they were not used at the same time, (Myrkridia attack this area, trow attack that area) but the trow were still aware of it... Perhaps Moagim didn't as much command the Myrkridia as set them lose apon the world, and direct them away from the trow towards connacht... Speculations...
on a side note,
"Balor himself, with a legion of creatures bound to him through sorcery and intimidation, unable to stop Alric from lopping off his head?"
seems to imply the 'ghols were intimidated into helping' thing. None of the others livings were intimidated into helping Balor...
I thought that the people at MumboJumbo had SOME of the info that we did not have access to, as they got the story rights along with the rest of Myth, and though their visions are not what the original creators intended, thus making it NOT canon, however if something in the wolf age matches up with a theory thats based on something here, then TWA might help support it as they had information that most of us did not. though without any back up evidence from myth 1 or myth 2 all myth 3 stuff is bunk...
at least thats how I've been doing it. Maybe MumboJumbo had no extra story stuffs and I've been living a lie.
