GURPS is considered canonical to a good extent because it has been Bungie approved. But, then there is the issue of altering the Myth world to fit an rpg system. Considering that no Myth game or actual statements from Bungie tell us how the mandrake roots work, let us assume that GURPS is right until further notice. (I feel so dirty)
