first off, you'r dead wrong on the whole alric thing. I mean, it's in the bloody field guide on this website. Go see for yourself. I remember seeing that 7 years ago and knowing then that that flying head was alric. No doubt about it. To refute that alric died in the first one is just silly. Now, Bungie may have disregarded that in the second one, or they may have a way of explaining it. But by going on the evidence at hand alric was blown to pieces by the great devoid's explosion, whether he was there or at Rhi'Anon.
Second, what possibly makes you think that the Nine would not come back as Fallen Lords? It fits the pattern perfectly. Those who saved the current age would be destined to return in the next as fallen lords. In 940 years we'll be seeing those of the Nine that are dead or missing. It's the laws of Myth. There's nothing that can be said to refute this, it's the premise of the whole game.
