Yes, M3 does not seem to be regarded as canon by most people around here. Not from what I've seen anyway.
As far as the Warlocks are concerned, I think they are just that: willing followers of the Deceiver. They're men so wrapped and consumed by their own dedication to black magic and sorcery that they've lost (perhaps) their own corpereal humanity. They definitely seem to be the light's answer to the Fetch. Both are quite similar in function and death. I don't think the Warlocks are very important though, as they were nowhere to be seen in the first Myth. Kind of like the Mauls. But it would be easy to explain why we never saw them in the first myth; they're wizards, and wizards can surely hide themselves. But I think all this is ash and speculation.
I still hold firm to the belief that ther's more to myth 2 than simply dealing with Soulblighter. So far no one's really been able to refute the transient alric theory, nor the one about the deceiver pulling the wool over the eyes of those who follow him (the journal writer). It may not be a perfect theory, but I'd love to hear what other people think of it. Especially those who run this site.
