: Pretty good analogy, there. I haven't thought about the
: WoT thing in a while. Yeah, that's pretty much it,
: man, you got it. I mean, as far as I can tell the
: avatara are specially endowed men (perhaps women too)
: who are doomed to fight for good then come back as
: Fallen Lords. Perhaps in the future avatara such as
: Murgen, Maeldun, Cu Roi, and the others will come back
: in service of Alric. Whatever the case, they are
: specially endowed with magical powers not common to
: other men (save the warlocks of the salemoance) (sp?).
: Ill-fated or just unfortunate, the avatara seem to be
: as constant in the Myth world as the Leveller. So now
: we not only have one transient being but several.
Hmm...The warlocks are interesting. I always considered them wayward spirits who just took the guise of men. Sort of like the fetch wearing human skins. Also, when a warlock dies he disintegrates, and, what seems to be its soul seems to escape up into thin air.Unfortunately the bullsh*t mj writers came up with had to do with actual mage and magic, academy crap. Fortunately I don't take much stock in Myth 3.
Perhaps the warlocks and fetch play a greater part in the tapestry that is myth than we previousley thought.
Just some food for thought for a game that I see has been stripped down head to toe and reexamined more times than a D&D manual.
