Pretty good analogy, there. I haven't thought about the WoT thing in a while. Yeah, that's pretty much it, man, you got it. I mean, as far as I can tell the avatara are specially endowed men (perhaps women too) who are doomed to fight for good then come back as Fallen Lords. Perhaps in the future avatara such as Murgen, Maeldun, Cu Roi, and the others will come back in service of Alric. Whatever the case, they are specially endowed with magical powers not common to other men (save the warlocks of the salemoance) (sp?). Ill-fated or just unfortunate, the avatara seem to be as constant in the Myth world as the Leveller. So now we not only have one transient being but several.
