: we are never informed that he died recently or that he
: died in the Barrier. Sinis, Alric, and Mazzarin could
: have been in the Trow lands when it happened... no one
: said it happened in the Barrier.

It makes alot of sense i'm sure the watcher and deciever would encourage the killing of each other's more powerful bodygaurds considering their hatred for each other.
