No, above that. That part about names. It says Fetch may not have personal names, or they may not let us know them because that would give us power over them. It then says that the latter is disputed by some considering how the Fetch WANT to go home. Thus, the implication that having power over them (which I presume to mean the power to kill them) would send them home.

Because the Dwarven strongholds (Stoneheim & Myrgard) are right next to the Great Devoid; I think it was speaking of the Devoid as an area, not as the bottomless pit itself.
