well after the ambush by bahl'al Connact knew they were betrayed and mb just mb knew someone was going to betray em. Lietrim decided that they should only do what mjarin requests. He requested to give connacht only 100 men to rhi anon. I dont know if Mjarin had the emperor under a spell or what.
Then after the ambush of bahl al Connact said they have been betrayed but he didn't know by who. Don't know if he refused to tell or what. Then he decided to go to mjarin in the nornpass after he kills Moagim cause he knew he was the traitor. Then he said that he didnt know that Myrdred was a traitor too. Connacht probly knew after the ambush of bahl al and concentrated on one traitor. mb he thought that there was only one person who told bahl al where connacht was going. This is just a thought :)
