: Hello,
: is anyone have a solution for the level rebellion of the
: orghres in myth III?
: Following, what you have to do.
: You must to deliver the oghres and defeat the trow army.
: It's the firt mission with the priest trow, who
: detached the oghres you have saved. For this mission
: you play with Damas, Myrdred, four heroes archers and
: two heroes dwarfs.
: The objective, is deliver the orghes in order to stop the
: production of iron at the mines of Avernus.
: The fact is, I'm submerged: the priest trow and orghes
: arrives in face of me, behind, some orghres, and of
: course, a trow of iron.
: Thank you in advance,
: fred_saberhagen.
Well, here's what I did...
The level seems to be designed so that the waves of Trow only start arriving once both Damas and Myrdred have crossed the river, so it's possible to keep Myrdred and the bulk of the force on one of the more stable areas of ice while Damas goes to scout out the map. In roughly the central Eastern part of the map, there's an iron mine with a central plateau which can only be reached by a single, narrow pathway, allowing you to deploy your archers and dwarves in line abreast, and focus a withering amonunt of firepower against any enemies trying to cross that walkway. Myrdred can help by releasing Oghres as they try to cross and sending them back against their Trow master, who will ideally be within bowshot, so you can continue pouring in fire as you slow them up. Do NOT send any Oghres to join your main force on the plateau- if an Iron Priest manages to get close enough to dispel Myrdred's dream, they'll happily slaughter all your men. Remember: Oghres are expendable, humans are not!
