: I guess that what I got from both endings of Myth 3
: (depending on who won the final battle) is that the
: winners write the histories, and seldom accurately.
The most of mythers don't accept myth 3 story as canon.
: Now, the history says that Miarin's head was never seen
: again, and no one could recall its fate. I have very
: little doubt that Connacht took care to hide the head
: in the deepest part of Muirthemne, and that nothing
: had ever been seen of the head during Connacht's
: reign. Perhaps, just as Connacht knew that he would
: become Balor, so might he have known that Miarin's
: head would be vital to Balor's downfall... but he
: would have a good reason to withhold both pieces on
: information even from his best friends, let alone his
: subjects.
Good idea if you accept that mjarin is the head, i personally think moagim reborn was Head, not mjarin. Mjarin was only a creation of MJ, in myth TFL and II we didn't hear anything about mjarin.
And in the last cutscene we see Connacht with seems to be very worried about the Cycle, if he would know that the head will make a civil war and it would send Alric(the only one who could kill Balor)to the barrier and there he would be captured and close to death, i don't think he would let the head in Muirthemne, he would throw it in Great Devoid or he would burn it in mountains or somewhere else, not in capital of Cath Bruig Empire. It would be stupid. But i think that Connacht doesn't know what will happen, he only knews about cycle(Mazzarin spell showed him the past and the future). He seems didn't know everything, he knew some general things, like he will return, how cycle works, but still he don't know how he would be killed, or something like this...
: Another thing that sort of bugged me: In Myth 2, it says
: about Myrdred that "Balor renamed (him) The
: Deceiver, after subverting him to his will."
: Whereas Connacht's shrine said that Connacht had named
: him The Deceiver long before he had so much as become
: Balor, let alone subverted the Fallen Lords to his
: will.
Yeah, myth 3 contradict myth 2, still we all believe that deceiver was the name given to myrdredwhen balor binded him to his will(myth 2 information).
: Maybe I take Myth 3 too seriously, and should assume that
: none of it happened. After all, the winners write the
: histories. Still, something to think about, I guess.
