: Yeah, but it should not be so hopeless -everything- is
: lost. Down to the last desperate roll of the dice is
: one thing. Down to a (for those who can get the D&D
: reference) natural 20 to succeed is almost as bad, if
: not worse, than the way Myth III did do things.
: Myth is about valiant but relatively mundane individuals
: overcoming great odds.
: Not superheroes...and HGK's story would produce too much
: of Connacht=Superhero feel for my taste, if I read it
: right. But, that's one person's opinion.
No, no. That's what i hate from Myth III, MJ shows Connacht like a Greatest Hero, something increible. Ex: he was the only who survived myrks attack, he was the 1ts one who first attacked myrks and won, even Llancarfan couldn't do it(Llancarfan was great city and i'm sure moagim reborn attacked it more than one time, still they survived a Wind Age, age of darkness). Then he loses only one battle(moagim wins with help of Mjarin). Then he always win, he destroys Trow empire with handful of men and sunhammer(increible, it's impossible destroy the powerest enemy of the empire with handful of men and sunhammer, and escape through Watcher's trap). Then Connacht leads light army against moagims army and win.
All time Mjarin betrayed them and it's impossible that Connacht only lose one battle and all others he won. It makes myth story increible, i can't just believe it, it's stupid, looks like a dream of Connacht.
So, nothing about superhero, MJ with their story want to make connacht superhero, i hat this idea.
