It definitely is more in keeping with the general atmosphere of Myth. From the Bungie games, I got the impression that the battles of Myth 3 would have been much more desperate and horrible, with broken bodies and severed heads spitted upon pikes as armies of hatred and darkness shatter any last sense of hope that may have flitted into the world. Well, thats what TFL felt like anyway.
