It is interesting this topic would come up now as I am playing Myth III myself for the first time, and somethings just aren't making much sense to me either. The game doesn't seem to really play fair with the existing data.
Of course one question is weather or not Myth III is actually cannon. I understand it exists with the Myth title but it was not developed by bungie either. Does it remain cannon and do we have to accept the inaccuracies? who is to say?
The game seems to take a number of liberties, when I examine the data gleaned from other reliable Myth sources. Myrdred was infact an avatara of the Wolf age, that much seems to be accurate. On the other hand Connaught is referred to as the "great hero of the wind age" who imprisioned the Myrkridia in the Tain (also in the wind age) and defeated Moagim reborn. So I'm just wondering why the game is called Myth - The Wolf Age, curious isn't it?
Past resources also don't speak to Connaught actually "inciting" the Oghres to rebellion. Instead it is said he took advantage of this event to deal the Trow a crippling blow.
I'm sure all this has been gone over again and again, but since its new to me I am wondering just what the hell is going on.
