: maybe even more. Doom, are you sure you want to be a
: shade since a person before you picked it? You can
: still be a shade but one of you two will have to have
: a local projectile group on your shade to see a which
: is which. First come, first serve. BTW... do not refer
: to your past units... this is from scratch and I do
: not know much about the older units. So describe your
: unit as if this was new.
To address the both of these at once, the force field I mentioned is something (dunno what exactly, ask Sili, he made it the first time) that repels all projectiles within a certain range of my unit. It has a LPGR of little sparklies flying around my unit to indicate the range of the force field.
As a related asside, I'd like it if my long-range Whither primary could have a particle effect similar to Shiver's primary attack (but much faster moving), and my Dispersal Bind had some kind of non-damaging ground ripple effect on it's detonation on each unit.
I'd also like, if possible, a flashy death effect. I'd like to vanish into stars like a Warlock, casting a wide Confusion on everyone around me in the process.
In rationale of all of this: I am Forrest of B.org. I can singlehandedly destroy anyone here from anywhere I have net access, hence my primary attack (Ranged Whither). I'm more or less invincible to attack here too, hence the force field; I can be overwhelmed up close and personal though. I also seem to be pretty damned good at convincing big groups of people that I'm right, hence the Dispersal Bind secondary. And when I go away, people tend to get confused pretty quickly. I'm a Shade because I'm not really alive here anymore.
The balance of my unit is such that ranged attacks do not effect me, and one on one I can best anyone, and I can convert close groups of living units so I'm fairly safe from them; but if you corner me with a wall of Thrall I can still be overwhelmed and taken down. (Hence the Mazzarin parody in my flavor text).
