But even if you look at Earth history, the ancient Egyptians used many of the same types of weapons and tactics as the Romans thousands of years later. Technology seemed to boom in the last thousand years on Earth.
I suggested WWII because the Dwarves had mortars, the Ghols had cannons, and the peasants had GUNS in Myth 2. One thousand years later should put the story to right about now. Correct?
I know about nothing about the history of Myth, I just play it. So my M4 story would go as following (Correct me if you want):
Alric's dead body a thousand years after M2 is resurrected by a group of voodoo guys and modern wizardy freaks. Alric awakes, gathers his own army of resurrected M2 units, terrorizes the streets of suburbia and big city. Other heroes of M2 and M1 become Fallen Lords (Garrick, Maeldun, Seanchaid...). Alric uses dispersal dream to annhilate a crowded football stadium *devilish laugh*. blah blah blah.
On our side is the modern U.S. (or whatever country)'s military. Alric will have some new attacks to put up with our tech boom.
Our heroes:
: Shade Phelot was converted to the light side by the Deceiver and his wearabouts were unknown... UNTIL NOW!!!
: An FBI agent or some army general... whatever.
: David Blayne is the reincarnated Deceiver. *cool magic tricks*
: Various other military heroes of our time.
War ensues... Alric's army grows stronger, then weaker... Still weaker... Cornered.... Phelot kills him... Cycle ends.
The end. blah blah blah.
That's it.
Go do something.
End world hunger.
Vanquish terrorism.
Create world peace.
Argue about this some more, I don't care.
