: Idea here: a Singe Player Myth RPG (Based off of a Might
: and Magic Engine) Where your a group of
: adventurers/heros going around Helping everyone out
: AFTER soulblighter is killed... I mean tehre are lots
: of remnants left, shades, myrimidons, tracking down
: fetch, saving villages that are still in the dark
: lands, tracking down remaining myrkridia, maybe even a
: final hiding fallen lord as a final boss...
: and you don't need huge armies for it, just the
: traditional 5 charecter party...
: would be pretty fun... you could get quests from alric :D
To be fair, I think one of the major themes of Myth is the hopelessness of it: you need some grand, overarching villain with armies that are bigger than yours to get that hopelessness. Admittedly, I am currently running a GURPS Myth campaign set post-Soulblighter, but that was mainly because I wanted to get a campaign with intruige, uncertainty, and factions in it, rather than a simple hack fest- which, be honest, is what computer RPGs normally boil down to. Still, what I think could be interesting for a Myth RPG would be with the PCs in similar roles to the Five Champions- clearly, the Light did have small "special forces" units that they would sent into situations too delicate for a Legion Detachment (incidentally, we see this again in Myth2, with the small group of heroes sent to assassinate Shiver). Perhaps even Truan of the Hundred Battles was part of such group originally. There's no evidence to support this, but I doubt the life expectancy of Light agents in Dark-occupied Muirthemne is very high. It would be perfectly in the feel of TFL for Truan to have been the last survivor of an "adventuring party".
