Journeyman, for both flavor and the fact that he is a somewhat underappreciated melee unit (that shovel does leave a mark, trust me:). Plus he keeps my vets in fighting trim.

The Warrior and Berzerk also have their upsides that others have pointed out. I always though the journal writer would have been a warrior... just something about the style.
