Paying for bandwidth on a subscription or whatever basis is basically the same thing. Bungie.org will never be a place where you pay for something. It's just not in the way we work. Everything we offer is free. What we offer is community and fan resources with all the atmosphere.
Basically, it all comes down to priority right now. Myth is 6 years old. We share bandwidth with Halo.Bungie.Org. Halo may be 2 years old, but with the new PC (and soon to be Mac) release, and with Halo 2 coming around in April, the priority is obviously going Halo. And HBO draws a lot of bandwidth.
We will be opening a page with Mapmaking resources soon. That's the most we can promise at this point. When that's up and running, we'll see where we're at. If possible, we'll squeeze more into it.
There has been some talk about us doing a front-end interface for an archive. This would mean that the storage and actual bandwidth would be from somewhere else. All we would be doing is providing the front-end support and mirrors. This is still in the "what if" stage at this point, so stay tuned.
