There never was any proof that the spirits alternate. In fact the Myth II epilouge blatantly goes against the suggestion, "The hero of every light age is different," and "a transient divinty that seeks only conflict - Leveller." So for the alternating spirits to work there would have to be 4 spirits. The Leveller, the Hero, the A Spirit and the B Spirit. And the existence of an actual Hero spirit is also debatable, something more like an actual god given power up rather than spirit. There has never been any Myth I/II evidence of this alternating AB spirit, only GURPS theories that that go completely against Ockhams Razor. This whole Moagim Reborn thing which suggests that the Leveller is an intelligent spirit which chooses it's host rather than controlled by some cycle. Rather than some repeat in a cycle, in fact is isn't very cyclical for it to repeat itself. In fact the only cycle that exists in the True Canon is the Light Dark Age cycle, and no mention what so ever is said of a AB spirit cycle. So to believe in the this Cycle you have to believe in GURPS being more right than True Canon.
