As SiliconDream pointed out, they seem to refer to eachother by their "real" names when quarrelling, and don't seem to have any sign of being possessed by an outside force. Also, take into account that many of the names are quasi-descriptive, i.e. SoulBlighter, the Watcher, Shiver (she makes me shiver, anyway :creepy:). Albeit not all the names are descriptive and those that are due recquire some imagination to fit them to the characters (except the Deceiver), they just don't seem like the names of eternal spirits of malice. Or are you saying that they are the spirits of the lieutenants of the first leveller? Who was the first leveller? I think the Myth comic mentions the trow smashing upstart races every thousand years. Anyway, back on topic, I would think an eternal spirit would have a name more along the lines of Moagim or Balor, but the Watcher? Thats just an odd name. And that isn't much evidence, but still...
One thing I do like about this theory is that part of it jives with my own views on the hero/leveller cycles. Maybe the leveller and hero aren't the only ones to re-incarnate, but also their lieutenants. Yeah, I know, Myth 3. But I view that as apocryphal at best. Besides, I don't think its a legitimate theory, it just sounds good as a story.
