: So you'd have dwarves and cultists against Dwarves and
: cultists?
No, I'd have Smiths and Cultists (evil) against Smiths and other Dwarves (good). The Cultists are all bad, and the Smiths have been all bad too... but some of them just realized how bad they've really been, and decided to put a stop to the rest of them, calling in further Dwarven aid.
: I could see this working. Myrdred's taunts in SB are all
: things he could have picked up from simply being a
: general alongside Soulblighter and Shiver. That said,
: *when* exactly was Myrdred an Avatara? And when did he
: turn?
He was an Avatara in the Wolf Age, we know that. One thing that strikes me here, though, is that GURPS insinuates that Myrdred has the Confinement Dream, the thing that trapped the Watcher. Sure, someone ELSE could have it too, but it would make such perfect sense for the Watcher and Myrdred to hate each other because Myrdred got him stuck to a rock for a thousand years.
: Personally I would like to see another of Balor's Fallen
: Lords though. Just to give us a few more questions and
: answers.
Except that the only three "ancient" ones are Soublighter, the Voiceless one, and Bahl'al. Of course it doesn't say the rest were "not ancient", just that they were "turned from the Light", and we've been taking the implication that if three are "ancient" then the other three are not. But clearly some of the "ancient" ones were also "turned from the Light" (Damas), so maybe they're not quite so exclusive.
