I think a middle ground should be found. As I mentioned in another thread, I hardly see why a Heron Guard (who is already ageless) would sacrifice anything to be immortal. Maybe a mercenary? Or some other elite (and now defunct) caste. I can't imagine a member of the army would be given leave to wield a glaive and wear no armour. Mayhap he's some kind of well known rogue?

Mazzarin *was* an Avatara at some point, right? Did he perish at The Watcher's hand at some point during The Wolf Age? Or was he killed much earlier? I ask because it would be interesting to play as him (as an Avatara), see him perish at The Watcher's hands, and then turn against you as a Shade. Would make for a cool piece of storyline, as he'd have an intricate knowledge of Connacht's plans.
That said, this won't work if it happened well before Connacht's time.
Rest seems cool by me. I've yet to play TWA, but having read the story I think this one makes more sense. Personally I'd rather not see *all* of the questions left unanswered in TFL and SB answered by TWA.
Does TWA leave any questions unanswered aside from the fate of Finn, Ravanah, and Damas?
