Huh... I don't recall anyone ever bringing that point up in support of the idea that the cycle was broken, but it's a good one.

Of course, one could just say that the cycle was changed in that civilization was not destroyed for hundreds of years, and so some knowlage was preserved.

Also, recall that legends from ages past was known to the people of Myth at the end of the Wolf age, even though the cycle was still going.

That's it.
