This is a funny thing about M3...Ravanna has jack all spellcasting ability. She's even less magical than Damas, who at least can heal folks. (For some reason, why I don't know, M3 made him a Heron Guard. He still dresses like Soulblighter, but he's a Heron Guard. Go figure.) She's just a powerful warrior.
So at some point she must have hung up her gridaksma blades and turned to sorcery--and unexpectedly been really good at it. A hobby of her old age, I guess.
