: Soulblighter
: Damas, right hand man of Connacht. Seems reasonable he
: followed his old mate into the evil page. Earnt near
: immortality by removing his heart and part of his face
: (so I guess he's the Faceless Man we hear about?).
Maybe, though he's listed separately in the prerelease stuff.
: Shiver
: Ravannah. Damas' lover back when they were both mortal.
: Looks like Xena, :-P. I'm not sure, but she was the
: last living Myrmidon, right? We don't know of her form
: in TFL, but after she is resurrected she definately
: looks like some kind of spirit. Whereas the other
: Fallen Lords (we see) are human in shape, she seems to
: be based around a banshee.
You see Shiver I on the Failure postgame for A Traitor's Grave and also in the TFL Comic. She's kinda withered and mummified-looking, though not as falling apart as the average Myrmidon. An interesting thing is that she has swirls of darkness cloaking her eyes, which Rabican tears away during her defeat. Thus she's forced to see herself clearly, wounding her vanity and disorienting her long enough for Rabican to strike.
She looks VERY different in M2, and acts very different. Why? Insert theory here. :-) I used to argue that one of them is an impostor Shiver, but...not much you can do for proof with that.
: The Deceiver
: Myrdred. Avatar during Connacht's age? Forgive me, I'm a
: little hazy, it's been a while. Was good at deception
: (duh), and is still alive in the conventional sense
: (well, *was* still alive). Whereas SB and Shiver seem
: to have different forms of immortality/Undeath. I
: mean, you can unheal SB in Devoid- so it's a safe
: assumption he's 'dead'.
Yes, Avatara of the early Wolf Age. Either was Light until Connacht returned as Balor and "bent him to his will"; or, going by M3, betrayed Connacht at the end of his war and was exiled thereafter.
: The Watcher
: Mad Goat of the Fens. Source of 1000 Poisons. Ancient
: evil from before Connacht's time, very powerful. Lost
: his arm and it's later used to 'stone' him. Hates The
: Deceiver, not sure why. Or does this come up in TWA?
Well, they got in a fight after the battle for Tyr, for whatever reason. Beyond that, GURPS says it was actually Myrdred who trapped him in solid rock back in the Wind Age, not Connacht. TWA, on the other hand, says Myrdred defeated Bahl'al during Connacht's war; The Watcher fled from that fight and was later trapped by a bunch of other Avatara IMO.
"Source of the Five Hundred Poisons" is Myrdred's title, incidentally.
: So, by my count there are two more (I've settled it was
: six and Balor).
: We almost know for certain Bonesplitter was one, any idea
: of his race? I've heard Ghol come up, due to the
: similarity in name. Hard to picture a Ghol Fallen
: Lord, but doesn't the comic detail it? Did he die? If
: so, how? What was his role in the grand scheme.
That's Fang-Grinder. Mauriac (before he was Prince Regent for Alric) reclaimed his stained honor by killing him.
Bonesplitter...I used to think this was Shiver, since it sounds like a . Myrmidon name. (Although nothing save M3 actually SAYS flat out that Shiver's a Myrmidon).
On the other hand, TFL Shiver fits very well with the "Voiceless One" title. But then M2 Shiver doesn't fit too well...so you can pretty much assign one of the two titles to Shiver, and the other to the fifth Fallen Lord.
: And there's the mysterious sixth, who from what I
: remember, has no name.
In the pre-release info "The Faceless Man" and "Soulblighter" are listed separately...so you could take the Faceless Man to be the sixth. (Damas isn't entirely faceless, after all.) Or you could take it to be The Lurker, as mentioned in GURPS. Twice-Born Daughter of Flood and Famine, weather and plant-control spells, mistress of natural disasters.
And the seventh was Berel. Even though he was Unworthy.
