: That's what I was thinking of. And if it were a
: Halo-style ring, it could still have an eccentric
: orbit, getting slightly nearer and farther from the
: sun as it goes. Even if it were at a larange point, as
: the Halo appears to be, it could wobble in the larange
: point. Or, if it actually orbits a planet instead of
: just trailing it at a larange point, then it could be
: the slow orbit giving it "seasons", being in
: summer when it's on the sun-side of the planet and
: winter when on the far-side (though not completely
: eclipsed, just like we can see a new moon without
: being eclipsed by it, mythworlders, if on a Culture
: Orbital like the Halo, could see a "new
: planet" in their sky without being eclipsed by
: it. Hey, that could even have something to do with the
: 'comet').
Why don't you write to Bungie and ask if it's a ringworld? This is something I can see them answering. Oh, and a planet couldn't possibly shadow the ringworld for a quarter of the year. Oh, and the wobble would produce a year with multiple winters and summers. Oh, and if the ringworld was so thin that Balor's head could travel all the way through it in the time it took for the explosion to go off, it couldn't possibly contain a molten layer and so there couldn't be any volcanoes. Oh, and I'm a trillion times as smart as you. Remember that and there'll be no trouble. Man, my head hurts...
: The first two I could buy (or maybe just rent for a bit),
: but you've got the third one backwards: there are two
: Dwarves, a Jman, a Zerk, and an archer in the movie;
: but there is ONE Dwarf, a Jman, TWO zerks, and an
: archer in the game. Shows what you know! I fart
: wighty-pussy (as in, filled with Wight pus; get your
: head out of the gutter!) death fever in your general
: direction, PPPTHTHTHBBBTTT!!! PPTHTHTT!! PTH!
That's even easier to explain. One of the zerks was on his knees. C'mon, their beards look exactly the same, right?
Oh, yeah, pus&fart jokes are SO much more high-class than pus&fart&sex jokes. Thanks for averting a potential misunderstanding that would have completely destroyed the cultured ambience of the Asylum.
