In Response To: Re: That RPG thing (Lord Raven)

I have no webpage making skills so i wont get a webpage up...

the key thing that I am leaning towards that differs from other D20 things is the magic system... I've split the spells into two categories, Arcane and Dream. The base stat for arcane is intelligence and the base stat for dream is Wisdom

im using the whole 'there are many dreams scattered about in dream stones all over the world' theory...

I was thinking for Arcane spells we'd use Mana points. Intelligence helps you LEARN spells and gives you more mana and Wisdom (will power) makes your spells more powerfull

For dreams (since they will be very limited) I don't really know what to do about those... I know that it will take a high int. check to learn them and a high wis. check to cast them, and i will try to limit them to a few times per day either by making them cost massive MP or going to the old D&D 3 times per day at level X sort of deal...

ideas?
