: I deserved that anyway. I'm a lazy bastard. That's part
: of my problem. What I may do, is just upload the ones
: I've finished revieweing, and then upload every
: single time I review a film. This "one big
: update" thing can just keep ballooning until I'm
: overwhelmed, and pass it off until I have time. Which
: of course I never do (either real life stuff, or I
: decide that I can work on other [XBOX] things).
: ::Ahem:
Why, back in my day I updated MMC every time I got a film, by the day after, no later, even though I was watchin' 'em on a 200Mhz PPC603ev with no 3D acceleration (which means 16x really runs at like 1/2x speed, in M2 at least), AND I had to be at work nine hours a day plus a 75 minute bus ride each way (uphill, in the snow... yes, on the SoCal coast, don't ask question!)... plus TaeKwonDo for an extra hour (plus 1/2hr commuting) every other night...
I'm not exaggerating either (except for the snow of course).
My suggestion: do the films when you get them. If they're so boring that you're sitting through them unentertained, flunk 'em for the 7th Law and move on. Let people tell you if there's something actually interesting at some point and fast forward to that point if the rest is boring. If it's just an amazing technical feat like following all 6 bonus laws, just fast forward and verify where neccesary that all such laws were followed.
Or, just let Smasher do it. He seems to have plenty of free time. And this goes for everybody else out there... if you think you can do better than we are, please, feel free to demonstrate! And I don't just mean this as a "please don't bash the admins" or "put your moey where your mouth is" thing, I mean seriously, if you have any free time to contribute to helping run the site, any part of it, lend a hand! We need it!
