Ah, but no. It's the other way round. The book mentions humans as joining and leaving the cult of the bre'Unor, while in the fir'Bolg bit it asks pretty much the same question about whether the fir'Bolg are human - apparently they can't breed with humans, but have elements of humanity.
And they are NOT elves! They're celts. Sorry.
