Oh yes, I listen well, and maintain that it sounds more like French or at most distant Celtic than German. Besides, French contributed to 67% of English's vocabulary, so that makes perfect sense; more than that, all of those Romance words that French gave us, we pronounce them more like Latin than the French do, inherently giving us even more classicality, technically. *Smiles.*
