1. Every rleigion in the world wil say "no" - and since they're the ones who believe in god, I don't think you can say "in its truest sense". ;)

2. Why does goodness need an abstract god? You are comparing it to art. In which case it requires the abstract, but nonetheless existant thing known as morality, not a supposed-deity.

That's a very self-centered point of view. Though it owuld be nice if I was nice, so eveyrone else would be, unfortunately many people are just plain bad and evil.
