*Chuckles.* Oh, just the Germans, Normans, and Scandinavians. I'd hardly call that the whole world, unless you're Eurocentric.
And I wouldn't call English Germanic sounding at all; even its grammar far more closely resembles a Classical or Romantic language. I don't think it can be pinned down in how it sounds aesthetically; English is unique.
