Not really. As far as I can tell, all illicit drugs either have legitimate medical applications or are close derivatives of drugs that do. Opiates, coca derived alkaloids and cannabis derived THC based drugs (the big three) serve many medicinal uses, mostly as painkillers.

But, by that token as far as being addicted to pleasurable things goes, one might say the same of sex, or eating.

Now we're on to something. Once again, the problem is not with being, but with use. In the case of addiction (be it to narcotics, sex, food, gambling, you name it...) specifically with it's excessive use or abuse. Everything in moderation, as they say. Just about anything can be hazardous if it is overused.

But eating is a very natural thing, whereas drug addition is not.

I'm not so sure about this. Humans have been abusing drugs and alcohol for the purposes of escaping the pains of reality for millennia. We even have evidence of certain species of apes recreationally consuming psychotropic and anodyne plants. One can only presume, for similar reasons. It may not be a good or recommendable thing, but it does almost seem like it's in our nature.
