: Myth is most likely a male-dominant world. Women simply
: don't belong to the warrior castes. This has been
: extremely rare, if it ever happened, in past history.
: The few examples of the opposite are among South
: American natives as far as I know.

True; on the other hand, if Balor drops by and says, "Hey, if anyone wants to fight for me I'll make them immortal," that would be a pretty good incentive for any violence-prone women to break out of their cultural shackles.

: Oh, and how many berserks have become sorcerors? Let
: alone berserk women...

We don't know how many of any race become sorcerers--Alric's the only recent sorcerer whose origin we *do* know. And it makes sense that one of the Nine would be a berserk--if not, why would the fiercely independent berserks serve them so willingly and consistently? They don't seem to have a great ruler like the fir'Bolg or the Dwarves, with whom the Nine could establish a truce.

: We should also not jump to conclusions with the idea of
: relation to berserks.

We shouldn't jump to conclusions? Are you aware of what forum this is? :)

: Females are much smaller (and weaker). A prime reason
: they were just about never warriors.

There's always a few tall girls (especially in those Northern races), and whatever strength the Myrmidons possess is derived from magic, not from their 300-year-old desiccated muscles.
