However, the Kurds are the ethnic group the US military seems to be friendliest with. Of all Iraqs ethnic groups, they are currently the most well armed (since we've been disarming nearly everyone else). Historically, they've been screwed, and if Turkey doesn't try anything funny they will have the guns (we gave them) to release all their frustration. Always be careful about the underdog, he's usually the angriest of the lot.
